Recent Status: A common and sometimes abundant species in Suffolk and Britain.

Life Style: A late summer flying species that comes to light. The larvae are nettle feeders. They overwinter and pupate in a spinning on the larval foodplant.

Identification: A large readily recognised species. The pale yellowish brown translucent wings with a pearly sheen are clearly marked in dark brown.
