Life Style: A double brooded species that comes to light It may be found from May to October. The larvae feed from untidy spinnings on leaves of a variety of trees and shrubs. The larvae hibernate. They pupate in the larval habitation.
Identification: A small sexually dimorphic species. The male is smaller with a costal fold. They are an orange brown with markings of variable intensity that form a narrow oblique band mid wing and a darkening towards the termen. There is sometimes a reticulate pattern.
