Morley's Final Catalogue: Rather sparse in hedges everywhere: Bures, Copdock, Bentley Woods, Ipswich, Blaxhall; Brandeston, occasionally at Monks Soham light, Haughley; Coddenham, Needham, Stowmarket, Bury; Tuddenham (Waters), Brandon (Mly). A long series at Bungay light (Mn); Beccles. Unnoted in Lothingland.
Recent Suffolk Status: Common.
Life history: Single-brooded. Occasional records in the autumn in recent years.
Identification: White-pinion spotted only has small dark marks along the costa and is a smaller moth.
Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens.Recorded in 54 (93%) of 58 10k Squares.
