Morley’s Final Catalogue: Also attached to broom. Known with us from Brandon before 1890, as bred in 1929-30 at Ipswich (Whit., Trans, i, 36), and once at Fritton light in 1936 (Mcrley).

Recent Status: No recent records. A declining species in Britain.

Life Style: Single brooded, hibernating and coming to light. The larvae feed from a tube spun in leaves of Genista tinctoria.

Identification: A pale species of an ochreous shade. The forewings are marked with black spots and has spots on the termen. The twin spots and central spot are reduced, the latter with a pale dot. There is a basal dash. There is variable pinkish ochre shading particularly extending from the basal dash and central spot. It can be similar to forms of A. scopariella.
