Recent Status: Common across Suffolk.

Life Style: A single brooded species flying from June to September. The larvae feed from a slight web on leaves of Quercus, Corylus, Betula, Carpinus and Alnus. They pupate in a brown cocoon in various locations.

Identification: A relatively broad winged species with an easily recognised distinctive patterning. The costa is broadly arched. The white part of the wing can occasionally be absent.
