Life Style: The moth may have two or more broods in the year depending on the habitat. The larvae feed on animal and vegetable detritus primarily in bird’s nests in tree holes or wooden nest boxes, pigeon and poultry houses. They have also been reported indoors.
Identification: There are three similar Tinea species T. pellionella, T. dubiella and T. columbariella. These are too similar that they can only identified by genitalia dissection. More Info
