Recent Status: An abundant day-flying species.
Life Style: A double brooded species found in any of the warmer months of the year. A day flying species. The larvae feed from a web often folding the leaf of Urtica species or Parietaria, Pellitory-of-the-Wall. They pass the winter as a larva. They pupate in a cocoon in the larval habitation.
Identification: The nettle-tap is a small moth with a triangular shape stood high on its legs at rest. Like most species of the Choreutidae they are intricately marked, this species in shades of cream, brown, grey and olive green.Recorded in 55 (95%) of 58 10k Squares.
