Recent Suffolk Status: Widespread and very common. Numbers are boosted by immigration.
Life history: Single-brooded. Very common at light, sugar and flowers. Larve commonly found in the spring at night, feeding on various low growing plants, even in gardens.
Identification: Lunar yellow underwing has the small black square mark in the corner of the forewing. Least yellow underwing is smaller and is normally more orange in colour.
Habitat: All habitats.Recorded in 55 (95%) of 58 10k Squares.
