Morley's Final Catalogue: Not listed. Thought to be a species of the west coast of the UK.

Recent Suffolk Status: A single record of unknown origin was noted at rest on a moth trap by day on 14.07.2023 in Lowestoft (A. Wren).

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: Currant clearwing has the dark outer band streaked with orange. Six-belted clearwing is larger with more obvious bands on the abdomen.

Habitat: Rocky coasts in its native range.
