Recent Status: A rare species in Britain first recorded in Suffolk during 2019.

Life Style: The moth flies during July and August and will come to light. The larvae feed on Malus and Prunus.

Identification: The moth is similar to Eudemis profundana but plainer in the basal third and does not show the clear white dorsal patch and orange/brown thorax common in E. profundana. However both species are very variable and have dark forms. More Info
The larvae feed during May and June in a rolled leaf where they pupate.
