Recent Status: This species which is restricted to the south east of the UK is common but very local at wetland sites in Suffolk.
Life Style: A single brooded mid-summer species that comes to light. The larvae feed on Phragmites communis. The larvae hibernate.
Identification: A pale ochre or fawn coloured wing with prominent black spots sometimes outlined paler. There are two spots at one third and one or a double spot at two thirds. There may sometimes be small spots beyond. The moth is an elongate triangular out line at rest.
