Recent Status: Well recorded in suitable locations in Suffolk.

Life Style: A single brooded day flying species found from April to June. The larvae feed on the seeds inside a pod of Ulex europaeus. They hibernate in a cocoon either in the larval habitation or on the ground in which they pupate.

Identification: The moth is dark fuscous or grey being particularly glossy grey basally. There are two white or cream dorsal striae. There are four pairs of costal strigulae, however the distal two pairs are not clearly paired. They subtend metallic striae, this shade also present in the ocellus.
