Recent Status: An occasional species across Suffolk.

Life Style: A single brooded day flying species that occasionally comes to light during May and June. The larvae feed in twigs of Betula resulting in gall formation. They may take two years to develop. They pupate in the larval habitation.

Identification: This is the largest of our Lampronia species. It is a uniform dark brown or fuscous colour with a pale yellow or ochre head. More Info
