Recent Status: Becoming increasingly common in Suffolk.

Life Style: Night flying species with two broods the autumn brood hibernates. The larvae feed from spun leaves on Betula.

Identification: This species and A. kochiella may be confused. The summer brood of A. kochiella is creamy white and the autumn brood generally a silvery grey. A. logiana is always pale. This species is also larger than A. kochiella that is 15 to 18mm wingspan. The other distinguishing factor is that A. kochiella appears rough winged and A. logiana is silky.
