Morley’s Final Catalogue: A very local species in Britain, feeding on Comarum and strawberry. Found at only Orford during 1902 (Gibbs). Observed nowhere but at Nayland, on our south border, in 1896 (C. A. Pye«),
Recent Status: Found locally in Suffolk. Still found in the Orford area..
Life Style: The species flies in the evening and dusk and is double brooded with its flight period either side of the common A. laterana. The larvae feed on strawberry and related species from spun leaves
Identification: The species is slightly smaller than the similar A. laterana and equally as variable. Although it is double brooded there is overlap with the single brooded A. laterana and identification must be supported by genitalia dissection. More Info
