Recent Status: A rare coastal species.
Life Style: Single brooded and flying at night during July and August. The larvae feed from and hibernate in a spinning in the flower heads of the Compositae Achillea millefolium, Matricaria chamomilla or Leucanthemum vulgare. They pupate on the ground.
Identification: The moth is stridently marked with four irregular orange/brown bands traversing a pale yellowish/silvery forewing. There are no confusion species in Suffolk. More Info | Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required. | |
