Recent Status: A rare species in Suffolk.

Life Style: The species is single brooded and can be found from June until the end of September and come to light.

Identification: The moth has a complex patterning similar to Blastodacna species but with the white colour predominating. They can be confirmed by genitalia dissection if necessary. More Info
There is little known on the life style other than that the larvae feed in the living bark of older established oak tree trunks and exude a reddish frass. More Info
