Morley's Final Catalogue: Very general: larvae in Artemisia at Ipswich, 1934 (Bp). and in thistle-stems much commoner than are the imagines seen. Ipswich, rarely at light; Waldringfield, Foxhall, Needham, Monks Soham, Leiston, Lowestoft, Benacre Broad, Beccles, Oulton church marshes, Hopton and at light in Gorleston. Mildenhall (Gd).

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Single-brooded. Regular in light traps, no recent larval records reflecting the change in main recording methods in recent times.

Identification: Fisher's Estuarine moth is much larger.

Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens.

Recorded in 51 (88%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1934.
