Recent Suffolk Status: Abundant. One of the commonest Suffolk Noctuids.
Life history: Single-brooded during the summer and early autumn. In recent years possible second generation moths are appearing in November and December.
Identification: Crescent Striped, a scarce coastal species is smaller, has a smooth texture (unlike Dark arches which is quite rough), is plainer in colour and has a white edged kidney mark.
