Morley's Final Catalogue: We cannot hope for A. auricoma whose range extends only from Kent to Hants.

Recent Suffolk Status: A single county record of this very rare immigrant in 2006. Formerly a British resident species that which is now thought to be extinct.

Life history: Double-brooded.

Identification: Knot Grass lacks the outer black dagger mark and has an obvious white spot in the corner of the forewing.

Habitat: As a resident, found in Oak woodland. Immigrant records are coastal.
