Recent Suffolk Status: First seen in Suffolk sometime between 1940 and 1960. Records increased from the 1960s onwards and now locally common in the county.
Life history: Single-brooded. Seen at light in small numbers. Larvae have been found in the county feeding on the seed heads of Sweet William in gardens.
Identification: Marbled coronet has an incomplete white band across the wing.
