Morley's Final Catalogue: Of similar distribution to the last kind, though feeding on Coniferae. Bentley in May 1894 (Hkg); Ipswich (Ml). Worlingham (Crf). Brandon (Warren, Vivian); Tuddenham in 1903 (Mly).

Recent Suffolk Status: Locally common in the Sandlings and Brecks with scattered records elsewhere.

Life history: Single-brooded. An early season pug.

Identification: Fairly distinctive, with plain grey wings and an obvious discal spot.

Habitat: Pine plantations, heathland, gardens.

Recorded in 29 (50%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1894.
Last Recorded in 2023.
