Morley's Final Catalogue: A species of common occurrence throughout England, yet noted with us only before 1890 from Needham (L) and Stowmarket (C).

Recent Suffolk Status: Extinct.

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: Slender pug has more rounded wings and Haworth's pug has the orange/yellow band on the abdomen.

Habitat: Woodland glades and rides.
