Recent Suffolk Status: Abundant.

Life history: Double-brooded. Readily disturbed from vegetation by day as well as coming to light.

Identification: Wood carpet has a broader white band with only a very faint grey band running through it which is sometimes absent. White band on the hindwing has no thin grey line at all. Galium carpet has the indented costa.

Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens, grasslands, woodland rides.
