Life history: Single brooded. Occasional records in the autumn in recent years.
Identification: Plain wave has smooth, silky wings unlike the rough texture of Riband wave. Third cross line on Plain wave does not have a kink.
Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens. Recorded in 55 (95%) of 58 10k Squares. First Recorded in 1940. Last Recorded in 2023. |
