Status Morley's Final Catalogue: Considered too general to localise in 1890, but certainly by no means frequent and usually seen near the east coast in August. Ipswich at light, Wherstead, and not uncommon at Felixstow in 1900-35 (Mly); Bawdsey, Aldeburgh, Southwold and occasionally Gorleston.
Recent Suffolk Status: Scarce, mainly along the coast.
Life history: Double brooded.
Identification: Small Dusty wave is a much smaller species.
