Life Style: A single brooded species flying during summer and coming to light. The peak in abundance is in mid-August. The larvae feed on grasses from silken galleries on the lower stems of the foodplant.
Identification: This is the smallest British species. It is a shade of light brown with paler veins. The colour is deeper on the costal half of the wing and the veins can be white centrally.
