Morley's Final Catalogue: Two males taken, new to Suffolk, at car-light on the Breck near Mildenhall on 18-9 June 1932 (Trans. ii, 86; cf also EMM. 1900, p.116). One male at car-headlights near Worlington a few years ago (Burton 1936).

Recent Suffolk status: Extinct. Now only known from two sites on the Lincolnshire coast.

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: The Rustic and Uncertain are much more robust moths.

Habitat: Main habitat in Lincolnshire are damp meadows inland of sand dunes. Formerly found in fens and marshes.
