Morley's Final Catalogue: Rare in the few sylvan places where it occurs. Brandon, Woolpit, Stowmarket, Needham, Playford, Bentley: ante 1890. Belstead, one 1899 (Platten); occasionally on undergrowth in woods, Bentley 1894-1933 (Mly,D); and 1936 at Blythburgh (Gd).

Recent Status: Has become much more common in recent years.

Identification: Worn examples could be confused with Buff Footman.

Habitat: Woodland and gardens.

Recorded in 43 (74%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1894.
Last Recorded in 2020.
