Aston's Additions: Specimen caught by Mr E.W. Platten during 1898 at Ipswich in a light trap facing S.W. (Trans. S.N.S., Vol. IV pt. IV p. 256). Woodbridge, 1946-47 taken by the Reverend H. A. Harris and the specimen exhibited at Woodbridge on December 1st, 1947 (Trans, S.N.S., Vol. VI, pt. II, p.61). Caught by Mr. Alfred Waller in a telephone-kiosk at Waldringfield, near Woodbridge, 3.viii.1956 (Trans. S.N.S., Vol. X, pt. 1, p. 44).
Recent Status: A very rare immigrant with just one further record from Southwold on 02.08.1976 (J.H. Clarke). This latter record is listed as 04.08.1976 in 'Skinner' hence date needs checking.
Identification: Compare with Scarce Chocolate-tip and Small Chocolate-tip.
