Morley's Final Catalogue: Wide spread, in at least the east, and not rare; usually taken by casual beating hedges. Sudbury in 1898, Copdock, occasionally at Ipswich lights, Playford (Ent. Wk. Int. 1857, 11), Martlesham, Needham, larvae on lime at Monks Soham, Aldeburgh, Corton cliffs in 1898, Fritton 1933; Lound (Paget).

Recent Status: Widespread and common.

Identification: Confusion sometimes arises with Maple Prominent.

Habitat: In a wide variety of habitats.

Recorded in 55 (95%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1898.
Last Recorded in 2020.
