Morley's Final Catalogue: Not known from the county in Morley's time. First UK record was in 1933.

Recent Suffolk Status: First found in Suffolk in 1996. Now local, mainly in the Brecks and Sandlings.

Life history: Single-brooded. Larvae found regularly on Yarrow seedheads late in the year.

Identification: Plain pug has a broader forewing, with straighter crosslines.

Habitat: Grasslands, road verges, heathland, coastal grasslands.

Recorded in 34 (59%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1996.
Last Recorded in 2023.
