Morley's Final Catalogue: By far the most ubiquitous species of the genus, constantly turning up everywhere from Bentley Woods to Gorleston; frequent at light in Monks Soham and Sibton.

Recent Suffolk Status: Abundant. One of Suffolk's commonest pug species.

Life history: Double-brooded.

Identification: Satyr pug has a straight costa, unlike the gentle curve of Common pug. Currant pug has a larger discal spot and larger white markings.

Habitat: A wide variety of habitats.

Recorded in 53 (91%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2023.
