Morley's Final Catalogue: Not recorded during Morley's time.

Recent Status: A rare migrant with just four records to date: Bawdsey Manor on 02.08.2009 (M.J. Deans), Kessingland on 12.05.2018 (A. Eaton), Felixstowe on 02.08.2020 (W. Brame) and Carlton Colville on 10.08.2020 (P. Follett). A recent colonist in Kent so we may witness a future colonisation here in Suffolk.

Identification: Usually darker than Pebble Hook-tip which has outer discal spot on the forewing much larger. Another feature is the hind-wing which on Pebble the cross-lines are more jagged with the wing noticeably paler towards the costa.
