Morley's Final Catalogue: Pastures are now so rarely allowed to be rough that this species can no longer be termed 'common' as in 1890. Along the coast it is enabled to persist upon the cliff-slopes at Felixstow, Dunwich, Burgh castle, &c.; but inland it is become very local indeed.

Recent Suffolk status: Common and widespread.

Life history: Single-brooded, flying in summer.

Identification: The only Burnet with six spots on the wings. Form with yellow spots very rarely observed.

Habitats: Grasslands, road verges, woodland rides.

Recorded in 52 (90%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1922.
Last Recorded in 2023.
